How to Apply For Admission, Financial Aid & Housing

It is important that you apply for admission to UAB by sending an application to the UAB Admissions Office. Applications can be made online at www.uab.edu. Regular admission is based on your ACT score and your high school grades. Neither of these standards is particularly prohibitive for the student who has average grades, and we rarely have anyone whose grades or ACT scores prevent them from being admitted. However, the sooner you apply, the sooner UAB can tell you (and us) if you have any problems with the admission standards. Generally, an ACT score of at least 20 is desired.

There is plenty of housing space on the UAB campus. The dorms at UAB have a close-knit family atmosphere, good dining facilities, and are in very close proximity to the main campus. For information regarding housing and admission, call the Office of Admissions at 934-8221, or visit them online at www.uab.edu.
